An iPhone Photo Journal documenting A Year in the Life of That Tree

Day 294, January 11,2013. Normally hidden by the shady green canopy, the bare branches and today’s thick misty light added drama to the scene by showcasing all of the moss and lichen thriving on the bark of that tree. That tree truly serves as an oasis nurturing an incredible array of living things! That Tree is an ancient Bur Oak growing on the edge of a cornfield near Platteville, WI. Using his iPhone 4S, Mark Hirsch photographed the tree every day from March 24, 2012 until March 23, 2013 capturing a year long snapshot of life in and around the ancient oak.
