SCOUT’s goal is to feature, engage, inspire, and celebrate the region by focusing on the talents and gifts of the people who live, work, and play within it.
SCOUT is committed to seeking out and highlighting the best of what the area has to offer in various capacities, including art, music, business, lifestyle, culture, news, and ideas. Through in-depth journalism features and profiles, community discourse, extensive art and music coverage, photo essays, comprehensive event listings, and non-profit causes, SCOUT gives its readers defined and diverse sections in which to explore and embrace this region.
SCOUT’s intent is to nurture an appreciation for the area, which will indirectly cultivate favorable public relations and enhance the culture of the area. Documenting the activities of the region engages its readers both intellectually and emotionally, nurturing a relationship that leads to participation and community spirit.
